The New State Rezoning Law is Already Changing Cary Projects

A new state law lets qualifying commercial properties in Cary add homes without a rezoning. One of the first cases taking advantage of it is 24-REZ-06 Regency Multifamily, the 245-unit proposal that sat in limbo for more than two years.

North Cary Park packs a soccer field, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a climbing boulder, and shaded trails that cross a wooden footbridge into the Black Creek Greenway. Peak fall color is about two weeks out, and the trails are one of the best seats in town for it.
