The Albatross, a “golf bar” that sells gourmet hot dogs and features two high-tech golf simulators, will join downtown Cary’s growing nightlife this August.

The brainchild of co-owners Sean Ryan and Paul Wasmund, The Albatross will feature state-of-the-art practice simulators that allow guests to work on their swing and play golf at any time of the day or night, and also have a drink or two.

While the star of the show is the golf simulators, The Albatross isn’t just for golfers. Ryan and Wasmund promise a welcoming atmosphere and want to create an environment where you can take a date, share a drink with a couple of friends, or have a unique ambiance for your next corporate meeting.

“We want to provide a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can come together and enjoy a fun round of golf or a night out,” said co-owner Sean. “We’re proud to be a part of the Cary community and can’t wait to open our doors.”

The Albatross is a welcome addition to the growing nightlife scene in downtown Cary. Shortly after The Albatross is set to open, the long-awaited new Downtown Park will follow in the Fall. The park will feature a ‘bark bar’ – a dog-friendly bar adjacent to the dog parks inside the park – and a social district that stretches the entire length of the park.
