From April through October, on the first Friday of the month, an event called Bands, Bites & Boats is hosted at Fred G. Bond Metro Park in the evening. The events are free to attend and have live music, food trucks, and beer for sale, as well as after-hours boat rentals.

Bond Park parking is located at 801 High House Road. There are multiple parking lots within the park in case the lot gets full.

The first Bands, Bites, and Boats event of the season will take place this Friday, April 7th from 5-7 pm. You can view the times for future events here.

In addition to the live music and food trucks, the boathouse offers hourly boat rentals during the event. This is a perfect opportunity for attendees to explore the lake and take in the stunning scenery from a unique perspective. Those on the lake can enjoy the music while floating in the water.

Brüeprint Brewing Company will offer beer, wine, and cider on-site. There will also be two food trucks, Las Gringas (authentic Mexican food) and Jerk Man Island Cuisine (Jamaican and southern cuisine). Shannon Baker & sometime soon will be performing.

Bands, Bites, and Boats is an event that has something for everyone. It is a great way to spend a Friday evening with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors and the local community. While it will cost money if you want to purchase food or beverages, or rent a boat, it is completely free to bring a lawn chair, hang out and enjoy the ambiance.
