It has been quite a year!
I started The Cary Report around halfway through 2022. My goal was to create a media company where Cary citizens could learn about what was happening in their town, events that they could attend, and find out about news that directly impacted them.
I was expecting that things would take a while to catch on, but the response I have received has been overwhelming, to say the least. With over 1800 followers on Instagram, 3.5k monthly visitors to the website, and over 100k views on my articles, I can not thank you enough for paying attention to The Cary Report.
Getting to talk with small business owners and residents, attending events, and finding excuses to explore our wonderful town has been such a great experience. I am looking forward to doing much more of it in 2023.
The Cary Report is currently only being run by one person, James Tuliano. I have an unrelated full-time job, so I’ve spent a lot of long nights trying to produce content for The Cary Report, managing the website and social media pages, and talking with my readers.
As things continue to grow, I hope to devote more time to The Cary Report and provide more insightful journalism that the residents of Cary deserve – all without a paywall. In order to do this, I have been thinking of creative ways to monetize the content produced here, and one of those ways is through the Cary-themed puzzles that I have been selling. I have received a lot of positive reactions to the puzzle, and I hope to produce new ones in 2023.
I have other exciting projects related to The Cary Report launching in 2023, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. Until then, have a safe and happy new year! I am incredibly grateful for everybody reading this, and I can’t wait to continue working with the community in the future.
