The Town of Cary has announced a Parks and Open Space survey as part of its effort to update and create plans to guide its future development. The survey is part of a larger project to update chapters within the Cary Community Plan, which was adopted in 2017 and consolidated past plans.
The Open Space Plan will be the overarching plan that pulls specific plans together. As Cary’s population has more than doubled since its first Parks Master Plan was approved in 1998, the new plan is expected to set the vision for the future.
The Parks and Open Space survey is one of the ways for residents to provide input and feedback on the project. Over the next year, there will be a variety of ways to participate, including surveys, community workshops, and pop-up outreach at existing events. This survey is one way the town collects data on how the parks and greenway spaces are utilized.
The survey closes on April 15th. The Parks and Open Space survey is an important opportunity for residents to have their say in shaping the future of Cary’s parks and open spaces, so make sure to participate!
