Dorothy Park is one of the smallest parks in the town, but it still has that undeniable Cary charm.
From April through October, on the first Friday of the month, an event called Bands, Bites & Boats is hosted at Fred G. Bond Metro Park in the evening. The events are free to attend and have live music, food trucks, and beer for sale, as well as after-hours boat rentals.
Cary’s greenway system offers a diverse range of trails, but this April, the spotlight is on the Swift Creek Greenway.

Walnut Street Park in Cary is a wonderful destination for those seeking outdoor activities and relaxation. The small (but charming!) paved path, playground, open field, plus basketball and pickleball courts make it so there is something for everybody to do.
CASSI (Connected Autonomous Shuttle Supporting Innovation) is currently riding loops around Fred G. Bond Metro Park from now until June 2nd.
Located at 801 High House Road, Bond Park is a 310-acre recreational haven in the heart of Cary. It offers a wide range of activities for people of all ages and interests, making it the perfect destination for families, friends, and solo adventurers alike.
Cary residents will have to wait a few more months to enjoy the new downtown park that was expected to open this summer.
For March, our greenway of the month is the Speight Branch Greenway! Located near Crossroads on the west side of Cary, this 1.3-mile trail features a loop around Macedonia Lake and ends at the Tryon Village shopping plaza.
