Bands, Bites, and Boats event returns to Bond Park tomorrow – here’s what you need to know.

Tomorrow marks another Bands, Bites & Boats event at Fred G. Bond Metro Park. Here are the details.

From April through October, on the first Friday of the month, an event called Bands, Bites & Boats is hosted at Fred G. Bond Metro Park in the evening. The events are free to attend and have live music, food trucks, and beer for sale, as well as after-hours boat rentals.

The focal point of “Bands, Bites, and Boats” is the local musical talent showcased during each edition. This month’s featured artist is Carson Mac, a recent NC State grad who is known for his soulful vocals and captivating melodies. Carson Mac has performed for numerous Cary events in the past, including last year’s Lazy Daze festival.

Adding to the event’s appeal are the food trucks that provide various culinary options. Buff-O-Lina, known for its Buffalo, NY-inspired menu, offers classics such as wings, hot dogs, and fries. For those seeking Japanese flavors, Crispy Gyoza serves up pan-fried dumplings, providing a mix of tasty options for attendees to savor.

For those interested in a unique experience on Bond Lake, boat rentals are available during the evening. Visitors can float on the tranquil waters of the lake while enjoying the sunset and the live music. Typically, boat rentals are only allowed during the daytime, but that rule is broken for this event.

It’s completely free to attend the event, but of course, you will have to purchase any food or beer. Bond Park parking is located at 801 High House Road. There are multiple parking lots within the park in case the lot gets full.
