The Cary Senior Center (120 Maury O’Dell Place – in Bond Park) is hosting a cash-only yard sale on Saturday, June 17th from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. All proceeds will be given to the Cary Senior Center and senior clubs, and you will be given donation slips for tax purposes upon purchase.
Those looking to score some fascinating second-hand (and some new!) merchandise should clear up their schedule Saturday morning. If you’re looking to get rid of some stuff yourself, the Cary Senior Center is accepting donations Wednesday, June 14th, and Thursday, June 15th from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For a list of items they are encouraging to donate, you can visit their website here.
You can expect to find antiques, electronics, clothing, and more. There is no admission fee to enter the yard sale.
The Cary Senior Center offers classes, trips, event, and more for citizens aged 55+. Fundraising events, like the yard sale, helps fund the organization and provides support to keep the programs running. The building is 17,000 square feet and offers lots of benefits to the 55+ population of Cary.
There is parking at the senior center itself, but if the parking lot fills up, there is additional parking at the Bond Park Community Center, Bond Boat House, and other additional lots scattered around Fred G. Bond Metro Park. All of the parking lots should be a fairly short walk to the yard sale, so don’t get discouraged if you can’t find parking right away.
After you’re done shopping, make sure you stop by the boat house (open 9 AM – 7 PM) for ice cream or a snack. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can rent a kayak or pedal boat.
